Intermediate Pointed Pen Calligraphy
Workshops available locally in Kansas
Whether you’ve taught yourself or learned from a teacher, if you can hold a calligraphy pen and write full words then this class is right for you! (If you’ve ever taken one of my Beginner Pointed Pen workshops, then you definitely qualify for this course.)
What will you learn from the Intermediate Workshop?
Formation of basic strokes and uppercase letter forms with stylistic variations
Formation of adding flourishes to your letters and words
Learn how to write on different materials (along with troubleshooting tips!) and some of Emilee’s favorite supplies for each type
Learn how to layout a calligraphy piece
Envelope addressing etiquette and tips
One-on-one guidance and evaluation
Group demonstration with video projector
Included in the Intermediate Kit:
Gold Calligraphy Ink
White Calligraphy Ink (for colored paper or dark paper)
Nibs: Hunt 101 nib, Hunt Globe 513EF, The Blue Pumpkin
Specialty paper for writing and practicing
Instructional booklet featuring information on addressing etiquette, flourishing, developing your own fonts and styles, along with recommendations for advanced supplies, materials, and troubleshooting
Exclusive links, course videos, and updates directly from Emilee for continuing education after the class is over!
Tickets are $100 which includes your kit & supplies, and light refreshments. Tickets are nonrefundable, but transferable to someone else if you are unable to attend (please contact the shop or Emilee if you know ahead of time you will not be able to join and will be sending someone else in your place). Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get situated and setup for class; we will start right on time!
Feel free to bring any of your favorite nibs and pen holders you might currently own! If you have already taken Emilee’s Basic Calligraphy Workshop in the past, or are planning on attending the first session in the morning, please bring your supplies from those kits to the Intermediate workshop. If you no longer have an item from your first kit, email Emilee at ejstucky@gmail.com for options on purchasing a replacement.
